Oversized Poplin Shirt Worn Over Cargo Shorts
I can tell that my taste in style is changing. Although not by much, it’s enough for me to notice because over the last few months, nothing (style wise) has really moved me.
On the other hand however, there is one trend that has been my thing here recently and that my friends would be the oversized style trend such as this Neon Sweater or this Voluminous Poplin Shirt. Balancing the oversized look can be challenging when you’re petite (I’m just at 5 feet, although my hair makes me look an inch or so taller.) Trying to master wearing all that extra fabric and still look stylish requires a little finesse.
For this look I paired two oversized pieces. In an effort to pull this look off without looking like a blob of fabric, I pushed up the sleeves and unbutton a few buttons on the top and bottom of the shirt. While planning out this look, I almost went with a denim skirt, but opted for these oversized olive cargo shorts (thrifted from the mens section) instead. It’s a good mix of both a masculine and feminine vibe. To keep the look more on the feme side, I thought these clear block heeled sandals went perfectly.
