How To Wear Neon In The Winter Months

Before I go any further into this post, I just want to let you know that I ABSOLUTELY LOOVVEEEE this neon coat. This highlighter colored coat is giving me all the feels!!! The moment I saw another influencer styling and profiling in it on the gram I had to have it. Okay now that you know how I feel, let’s jump into this post.

For years we’ve been told that bright colors should be reserved for the warmer months, yet as of late bright colors have been marching down the runways and bombarding the fashion streets for a while and I am definitely here for every last bit of it.

Gone are the days where we neglect to wear a banging outfit just because it’s the wrong time of year.  So boring!  There are too many colorful outfit options out there for me ignore.  Now I get it, wearing colors this bright can be intimidating and rightfully so.  Too much could leave you looking like a human glow stick.  But hear me out… neons can be hard to pull off, yet totally possible.  Winter neons are all the rave and while I typically don’t jump on trend wagons, I’m riding shotgun and hanging out the window for this ride.

Neon has been a favorite of mine for a while and I’m still drawn to it.  Btw, be on the look out for more neon coming your way.  So for this look I really wanted to showcase the coat (not that it needed my help) by wearing a cute but subtle outfit.  Deciding on my favorite color combo of all time, these super cute contrast leg jeans with a black turtleneck bodysuit worked perfectly.  To complete the look, I opted for these flat cut out ankle boots so that you can see my neon striped socks.
