Get Into It, Gingham Style
Before I get into this look, let me just say that gingham was not my favorite print to wear. It reminded me of a picnic blanket. Considered a woven fabric (usually cotton) with a checkered appearance, this print has found a special place in my wardrobe.
Now let’s jump into the details of this look. I really love how the outfit came together considering when I laid it out my husband had a lot to say about me styling this Target dress as a shirt with this orange gingham skirt. However, I saw the potential and went with my gut.
What I like about my look is how fun and colorful it is. It’s super versatile and the dress and skirt separately are ideal for creating new and fresh combos. A great spring/summer outfit option for a casual date night or brunching with the girls.
Gingham is a trend that’s all over fashion blogs and style magazines this year. Plus this print can be found in almost every store (including the thrift stores). Not only is gingham print back in fashion in a major way, but it can also look dope, in the right colors and silhouettes.
