My Current Style Mood | Non-Fitted Jeans

How to wear Mom Jeans, Petite Outfit Styles, Stylish Black Girls, Top Fashion Stylist, Atlanta Fashion Stylist

I took a chance on buying these cropped high-rise jeans. My indecisiveness came from - reason #1, my husband hates high-rise jeans and reason #2, I’m not overly excited at how they look on me. They really aren’t all that figure flattering. However, I still like them.

My least favorite part about these jeans is that they kinda highlight my muffin top. Now before you get to saying, what muffin top? Don’t let these angles and Kaylin’s photo editing fool you. It’s there! In the past I would shy away from wearing anything that highlighted my mid-section. Even with all the talk about body positivity and seeing ladies of all shapes, sizes and color celebrating their bodies, I was (am) still hung up on the fact that my stomach isn’t as flat as it used to be. I can come up with every excuse to not wear something because of how I feel it will make me look.

But no more stinking thinking! Wearing these jeans and a few other pieces I’ve shied away from in the past is my way of forcing myself out of these crazy mindsets on why I can’t or shouldn’t wear something.

So in the spirit of throwing caution to the wind, I created a simple look with these balloon leg jeans from Target. In all honesty, I felt very uncomfortable shooting this look. I just didn’t feel like I looked my best. I really want these jeans to work. Even though this look isn’t bad, it’s not an outfit I’d repeat.

Despite the fact that I’m not that crazy about this look, I hope you’re inspired!!
