I'm A Budget Shopper, But I Splurged On These Boots

If you’ve been a reader of my blog or follow me on the gram, you know I’m big on shopping the thrift stores.  Ever since my early teens, thrifting has been my jam.  As a matter of fact this look (minus the trench, gifted from Justfab and my booties) is thrifted.

One of the main reasons I thrift is because it’s cheap!  I love that I can find unique and trendy items for next to nothing.  Not having to pay full price and still look amazing is pretty awesome, right.

Being the shopaholic that I am, I’m always searching for the newest and cutest styles.  So when I came across these Rory premium leather western boots in mixed animal print I was super giddy until I saw the price.  $127!  Don’t get me wrong, $127 isn’t a lot of money, but remember, I’m not accustom to spending more than $50 on clothes and shoes.  So I was a little leery about spending over a hundred dollars for these boots.

I was definitely on the fence about purchasing these boots.  I mean I kept them in my cart for weeks before finally deciding to splurge.

While this one splurge probably won’t change my shopping habits, I do believe that having a good mixture of high and low pieces makes for a great wardrobe.  You really don’t have to spend a lot to look amazing, but investing in quality items for certain pieces is a great way to build a wardrobe that will last.
