How To Rock In Mix Match Prints

Mixed+Prints_2.jpg

Mixing prints is one of my favorite all time style go-to's.  At this point, I can do it with my eyes closed.  However, it can be a little tricky to pull off if you're not careful.  But ya girl is sorta a pro at mixing prints.  Go see what I'm talking about HERE, HERE & HERE.

One to the key factors when mixing prints is to make sure the colors compliment each other.  Like in today's looks which is really simple.  Everybody knows that red, black and white go together.  I mean, anytime you see black and white paired together, the pop of color is more than likely red.

I happened upon this red striped poplin shirt from H&M while out shopping for my client.  I tell ya, being a personal stylist with a shopping addiction can't be a good thing right?  Wrong!  I didn't have to think twice about getting this top because a) it was on sale and b) it's been on my to-get list to add more printed/patterned tops to my wardrobe.  I love this shirt and have but it's almost sold out, however, Asos has a cute little red shirt that works or this short sleeved stripe shirt from Forever 21 is just as cute, especially for spring/summer temps

*Singing... If You Don't Know Me By Now.... You're not a loyal Style Kläzit fan if you don't know that black and white anything is my absolute fave.  Which is why ordering these black and white polka dot jeans from Forever 21 was a must.  The downside is that if you'r short like me (5') they will be a little on the long size and they are high waist.  I tend to shy away from wearing anything that has my mom gut on full display.  And if I had tried them on prior to shooting this look, I would have cut the hem (which I ended up doing after the fact).  I'm thinking about getting these polka dots pants, that's more my style.

Ladies and Gents, boys and girls!  If you'll focus your attention to these dope contrasting-coloured sneakers from Zara.  Y'all Zara is like my all time favorite place to shop for shoes.   If you're looking for funky and unique footwear, head to Zara.  Not only are these sneakers dope, they are comfortable and they were reasonably priced.  Another pair of Zara shoes that I'm in love with are these black kitten heel booties.  Oh, and these two-tone metallic oxfords with detachable tassels are like everything.

Anywho, I hope your Monday is off to a great start and that your week is full of style and grace.  And if you have any questions about mixing prints, ask away in the comments!
