How To Wear Pink In The Fall

The weather outside is still kinda toasty and while I'm more than excited for Fall fashion, I'm still basking in these Spring-like temp's.  So by now I'm sure you're starting to hear all about transitioning your spring/summer wardrobe into fall.  I'm here for all of it.

Does this mean that you have to put away your lively bright spring colors?  Of course not!  It just means that you make the color cold (or cooler) weather friendly.  Take today's outfit post for example.  To play down the bright pink hue of these metallic shoes, I wore this dark metallic jacquard print ruffle skirt from Asos.

I tossed around the idea of ordering this skirt because 1. it has ruffles, which only girly girls wear ruffles, right?  2. I wanted to get it in a size 8 (which was sold out), but I had to get the six instead.  Let me just say that the next time I wear this skirt, I would have needed to fast at least 24 hours before.

Having all fall and winter to wear this skirt again, the first look I wanted to keep fairly simple.  Opting for a plain white button down shirt this gave the skirt all the attention it deserved.  And I rolled up the sleeves, because rolled up sleeves are what all the cool people are doing -- wink!

When considering wearing bright colors in the fall/winter months.  Think about the fabrics.  This skirt with some tights and a blazer or sweater would be great once the temperatures drop.  I could also go bolder and just mix the shoes or the skirt with a neutral or dark color for balance.  So there you have it!
