What's going down style lover's?! I trust that your Saturday is treating you well! So guy's next Saturday, I'll be covering stylist Shun Melson's Fashion Takeover and I'm uber excited. I love fashion shows (at least the good one's) and I'm sure her fashion show will be one to remember. Off course I'll provide a recap afterwards. Speaking of fashion show's I'll be styling for Thrifting Atlanta Fashion Week fashion show at the end of this month. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to that. *Plug >> Click here to join the fun - wink. Okay, back to my outfit... Earlier this year Shun posted an outfit on Instagram and I was like, oooo! that's cute (screenshot). And here I am today in my own version of her look. Good thing for me is that I already had these pieces in my closet. Scroll down to see Shun's look.
Whoa!! The wind almost caught me slipping. But I was quicker than that... Ha! So in keeping with Tuesdays post (here) about transitioning summer pieces to fall, this look is another example of how to pull it off. I could have easily paired this tulle skirt with a chambray top or a blazer and some cute dainty pumps, but I decided to dial down the girl power and opted for this olive cargo jacket and taupe booties from JustFab. It still speaks femininity but with a slight edge.
Happy December 1st! Almost the end of the year and what a year it's been. One highlight is that I moved my online boutique to a physical location - hoot hoot!!!
I always wanted to work for myself and I believe that this is the first step towards being my own boss full-time. So there's a little story behind this FABULOUS burgundy faux fur moto jacket. Once upon a time... lol kidding! I first saw this jacket at
while in New York at the
meet up and of course they didn't have my size. This made my second disappoint of the trip; my first one was when I found out I wouldn't make it to any thrift stores. I forgot all about the jacket until my girl
told me she ordered it and said it was a must have. I went online to order it and wouldn't you know it, it wasn't in my size. Long story short, I was able to locate it at a local store (even after someone at the store told me they didn't have it). I Love this jacket...
This weekend went by in a flash.... Friday was date night, me and hubs saw 'Straight Outta Compton'. I must say it was better than I anticipated. Saturday-day I co-hosted the Thrifting Atlanta bus tour with Keren Charles of Two Stylish Kays. Saturday night the hubs and I helped a friend celebrate her birthday. The best part of my weekend was Sunday and what better way to finish off my weekend than to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday! Happy Birthday mom!!!!!!!!!!
