Fashion is a statement not style. Style is a reflection of your attitude and your personality. What I like (love) about my personal style is that it's versatile and it reflects how I feel on any given day. Today I'm feeling a little badd - wink! I've had these fatigue pants for a couple years and each time I wear them I create a different look - see here, here & here. I think off all the looks, I like this one the best. I diy'd the hoodie by adding left over jewels from my NYE look (here) and a few beads from a pearl necklace I had. I knew I wanted to pair these red boots but I went back and forth with myself about the red frames. Adding the black moto just made me superbad, lol. What do you think? What does your badd outfit look like?
Hey y'all, these last few weeks have been really trying for me. Things at my temporary 9-5 is getting out of hand. But don't get me wrong, I appreciate having a job; how else will I be able to support my
tomorrow. But the way my marriage is set up, a happy husband is more important then spending a day on a chartered bus being chauffeured to different shops in Atlanta. All while enjoying exclusive discounts, light refreshments, giveaways and a bag lunch too. I digress...
So a friend of mines, referred my styling services to someone he knew. After not hearing from the potential client, I inquired about the person; Can you believe that the reason she decided not to hire me was (and I quote), "I dress to young for her" (head cocked and mouth turned up.) I shalt not lie, I was bother at first, but them I got over it. My style is just that, My Style. I would only style you like me if that's what you want. Today's style is urban streetwear.

*This post is a little photo heavy. I was feeling myself.
I'm starting to take more outfit risks. I use to be hesitate about revealing my body, mainly because of my religious upbringing. I was taught that a lady should always cover up and that her body is for her husband. Therefore showing off these mini thick thighs, is a NO-NO!!!! If my old Pastor could see me now.... But! I was also a little renegade, so today I'm giving you a little thigh action...
About a year ago, I started being uninspired by my wardrobe. I really was getting to a point where I couldn't find anything to wear. I'm sure you've been there before, where you just stand in your closet looking for an outfit to jump out at you. Whenever, I get stump on what to wear, I start from the bottom - shoes. Once I decide my shoe mood, I build my look from there.
When I ordered these boots, I had no idea how I was going to style them. Honestly, the only reason I got them is because my husband liked them. He says I never dress sexy for him. And the fact that I'm short and petite; I tend to shy away from anything that I feel would make me look even shorter. An-t-wayz, the first time I wore this dress (
), I styled it with socks and sandals. In order to winterize this dress, I added this flannel dress turned duster. The OTK (over-the-knee) boots were worn to protect my legs from the elements. Now that the weather is warming up in Hot-lanta, I'm starting to think of other ways to style this dress.
Do you have any suggestions about the next way I should style this dress? Drop a line below and let's discuss it. You never know, I may end up taking your style advise. Holla!!!
Last month I had a birthday - Yyyyeeeaaaa!!! Although I'm a little picky and somewhat finicky it doesn't take a lot to make me happy. I love my husband for all the effort he puts into making my day special. Aside from what he gets me, I don't really expect anyone else to get me anything. However, to my surprise my two thrift buddy's (Tiffany of @mrscuteasabutton and NeShanta of @msstyleisshe) gifted me with some fabulous items. One of my birthday gifts was this denim skirt and immediately I knew that I was going to destroy this skirt. With little vision in mind and a giant pair of scissors I started cutting. My husband was like you're just scissor happy; my reply was that it was going to be one of the best looking distressed skirts of all time. After nearly loosing a finger and almost choking to death because of the bleach fumes - I present to you............. Destroyed Denim!

I hope you're having a wonder day and staying warm. This Atlanta weather is not the business. Although I'm sure anyone up north would laugh in my face. This frigid weather is exactly why I told my husband he needs to move us to Tampa, FL. Anywho!
Well if you've been following me you can probably tell that my style is somewhat versatile. It has to be since I still work an 8-5 (but not for long). I would really describe my personal style as eclectic, retro and modern vintage. This look is very simple to me, but it's still cute. It ceases to amaze me what $3-$15 can transform into. I love that I'm blessed with creativity. Can't wait to see where it continues to take me.
So this past weekend I did media for the Thrifting Atlanta Bus Tour. The bus tour is a chauffeured bus ride to shop resale shops in the metro Atlanta area. As a bus rider, you can enjoy exclusive discounts, light refreshments, giveaways and a bag lunch too.
An avid thrifter already knows what the thrifting uniform should consist of... A maxi dress or fitted top with leggings or a skirt to assist with trying on clothes just in case the dressing rooms are filled or if there aren't any dressing rooms. Well I decided to spruce up my thrift uniform just a little. Take a look below and let me know what you think.
The weather in Georgia is fickle. It seems like we experience all four seasons in a week. This day was kinda chilly so I grabbed one of my favorite scarfs.
My cousin introduced me to thrifting years ago. I wasn't entirely turned off about it, I still didn't want anyone to know that I shopped at thrift stores. Although I didn't grow up lacking, I wasn't the girl that got to wear all the latest brand name. Once I graduated from high school and started working I moved away from thrift shopping. I had taken the blue pill (reference from the movie Matrix). I got caught up. But life has it's way of bringing one back to reality. Reality was... I could still "look fly on a dime".
I've gotten behind in my posts.... The life of a wife, mother and entrepreneur can get overwhelming somethings. However, the reward is well worth it.
I attended one of my #thriftsister's birthday celebration and she requested that we wear something pink or purple with pearls. So this is what I came up with. I really had fun with this look. The only thing not thrifted is the skirt. I ordered the skirt from Sheinside. Although it was really affordable, it took about 20 days for me to receive it in the mail.
I'm really gettin' into this fall weather. Although I still have some summer pieces I would like to wear, I'm really excited about my fall wardrobe.
Some people are of the mindset that fall and winter means dark and neutral colors. I tend to wear fun colors year round. Although I try to stay in the know of all the trends each year, I'm more comfortable creating my own trend #createyourownlook.
