Red Thigh High Boots + I Wore My Shirt Backwards, AGAIN!

Atlanta style blogger, black blogger, top atlanta blogger

Lately I've found myself fawning over two colors that I hated only a couple years ago... Red and Pink.  I mean all of a sudden I want everything in pink and red.  Go figure!  Within the last two months I've added three pair of red shoes and a bubbalicious pink bootie to my shoe collection.

Today I'm show casing these bright red thigh high boots that are definitely made for walking.  It's funny because in my younger years I had toothpicks for legs and wearing a pair of calf length boots, let alone a pair of OTK boots or even thigh boots was only a dream.  But now I've gain a smidgen of weight so now I can stunt in a ol nasty thigh high boot, and stunt I will - wink, wink!  Btw, here's are two (this one or this one) equally stunning options for your consideration.

If you've been following me you may remember that one time I attempted the backwards shirt trend - outfit fail hereThe end result was kinda blah, right?  Rather than giving up I decided to give it another shot.  This time opting to go with a tighter fitting denim top, which I paired with this faux leather pleated skirt I got from Shein earlier this year.  Bad news,  my skirt is sold out.  Good news, you can totally rock with this really cute one or this asymmetric bangin' one.

The first time I wore this look, the weather was a little warmer so I wore a pair of  red tassel trim loafers from Boo Hoo.  More bad news, the red ones I wore are sold out but you can get a black pair or taupe pair.  Now that the weather is cooling down a bit, I thought how cute would this look be with red boots in place of the loafers.  I thought right!!!  These thigh highs with the cutout going up the back of the leg and the backwards shirt take this look up about 10 notches.  Over all I'm diggin' this look.

What do you think about this look?  Is this trend one you'd try?  Let's talk about in the comments below.

Happy Holiday's style enthusiasts, this is the most wonderful time of the year!  A time filled with holiday dinners, parties and other celebratory events.  But for the fashion conscience, the number one question is - What Am I Going To Wear?  Well guys, because I'm super cool, lol, I've created a few dope looks to get you through your next holiday event.

This look is simple for that one event that doesn't call for an over the top look, but you still want to be cute.  I wore this F21 bomber jacket over a shirt dress and these OTK boots from ShoeDazzle.  This colorblock clutch really brought this look together.

Sweatshirt + Velvet Skater Skirt

Melodie Stewart, The Style Klazit, velvet skater skirt, over the knee boots, sweatshirt, shoedazzle, Atlanta style blogger, Atlanta stylist

Hey there, happy pre-Friday!  Later this evening I'll be attending the Naturally Pretty natural hair event hosted by MUA Mimi Johnson of The Glamatory and Mae aka Natural Chica.  I'm kinda stoked!

Okay so velvet is trending, Again!  And although I wasn't in any hurry to add it in my wardrobe, I couldn't let this little piece get by me.  Maybe it was the color that did it for me and it only set me back a cool $6 bucks, but you can get one here, here or here.  I also thought it would be cool to dress up this sweatshirt by wearing "Vanetta" from Shoedazzle.  Are you a fan of the velvet trend?

Flannel Duster + OTK Boots

I'm starting to take more outfit risks.  I use to be hesitate about revealing my body, mainly because of my religious upbringing.  I was taught that a lady should always cover up and that her body is for her husband.  Therefore showing off these mini thick thighs, is a NO-NO!!!!  If my old Pastor could see me now....  But!  I was also a little renegade, so today I'm giving you a little thigh action...

About a year ago, I started being uninspired by my wardrobe.  I really was getting to a point where I couldn't find anything to wear.  I'm sure you've been there before, where you just stand in your closet looking for an outfit to jump out at you.  Whenever, I get stump on what to wear, I start from the bottom - shoes.  Once I decide my shoe mood, I build my look from there.

When I ordered these boots, I had no idea how I was going to style them.  Honestly, the only reason I got them is because my husband liked them.  He says I never dress sexy for him.  And the fact that I'm short and petite; I tend to shy away from anything that I feel would make me look even shorter.  An-t-wayz, the first time I wore this dress (

), I styled it with socks and sandals.  In order to winterize this dress, I added this flannel dress turned duster.  The OTK (over-the-knee) boots were worn to protect my legs from the elements.  Now that the weather is warming up in Hot-lanta, I'm starting to think of other ways to style this dress.

Do you have any suggestions about the next way I should style this dress?  Drop a line below and let's discuss it.  You never know, I may end up taking your style advise.  Holla!!!

Bordeaux Sweater + Burgundy Boots

Atlanta blogger, style blogger, Atlanta style blogger, Black girls killing it, Burgundy boots, Bordeaux sweater, ShoeDazzle, Turquoise Hat, winter wear, street style, fringe necklace, oversized handbags, floppy hat, over the knee boots

My favorite color is green, but here lately I've been crushing on bordeaux or burgundy (these 2 colors are related you know).  Andddd it's a trending color right now.

You don't necessary have to be into style to be stylish.  Style consists of some much more than what you were, but how you wear it.  Shopping for trending colors is a good way to maintain an up to date look.  It's been fun coming up with different ways to style this color.  Check out how I've styled this color
