What To Wear To Work

melodiestewart.com, work wear street style, what to wear to work

Hope your weekend was full of funners and relaxation. For me, losing an hour this weekend has gotten me all out of sorts. I mean what’s the purpose of daylight savings time anyway? Either way guys, Happy Monday!

If I’m being honest, I haven’t “dressed up” for work in a long while. I’m just not motivated to put my best foot forward in the wardrobe department 5 days a week. Basically dressing up for work just isn’t fun any more. At this point being comfortable is my goal (meaning jeans, a decent top and a cute pair of shoes).

Now if for some reason I had a desire to slay my co-workers with a cute office chic look, today’s look would be something I’d wear. A blazer (a closet staple that EVERYONE should have in their wardrobe) is an instant outfit game changer, paired with a solid (or print, if you’re feeling frisky) top is simple and easy to wear. With spring around the corner the weather is slowly starting to warm up and this means you’ll see me wearing more skirts, like this thrifted skirt from Asos. What you won’t see more of is me in super high heels like these old turquoise heels I scored from ShoeDazzle many moons ago. Anywho, maybe one day I’ll get back to dressing up for work (or not)!

Windowpane Print + Loafers

Melodie Stewart, The Style Klazit, Atlanta style blogger, Atlanta wardrobe stylist, windowpane print pants street style, black loafers street style, Atlanta street style

Hello my name is Melodie and I am a shoeaholic.  I purchase at least 2-5 pair of shoes a month.  My shoe addiction is so bad that this is my first time wearing these patent loafers from JustFab.  Man, can you believe that I actually bought these shoes in 2015!  I'm sure you'd like to know what took me so long to wear them.  Well I forgot I had them.  Anywho, I'm so glad I found them because they are a perfect fit this look.  These windowpane print crop pants are part of a two-piece suit from Target, but I decided to break up the suit and pair the pants with a classic white button shirt, a closet staple and this fuzzy burgundy cardigan.  The two-tone chain was added at the last minute because I realized the outfit was plain looking without it.  I went with a grey handbag, because your bag doesn't have to match it just has to work with the overall feel of your look.  I like that this outfit is great for the office.  Would you were this to work?  Let me know below...
