WISH LIST: Floral Print

Whenever there's a long holiday weekend, my days get so mixed up.  Like is today really Wednesday?  If so, this means that I'm a week away from enjoying summer vaca with hubs and his mini me in Orlando.  Yea!!!

One print that really puts me in the mind of vacations are floral's.  And the fact that they have been showing up more and more in my wardrobe is a sign that I'm over due.  As much as I have tried to stay away from this girly print, I'm finding myself drawn to it.  Whilst this trend may vary throughout time, the power of the flower will probably never go away.

Variations of this print can easily be used to add character or charisma to almost any look.  Check me out here, herehere and here blooming in my own garden of style.  Because it's such a versatile print, styling it with a causal Tee, a pair of distressed jeans or a midi skirt is grounds for a cute outfit.

Each season, I look forward to seeing how my style will evolve.  It seems like my go-to print this s/s is going to lean heavy on the floral trend.  What makes me totally okay with this trend is this print ranges from whimsical and girly to bold and dramatic.

My steadily growing desire for floral's probably stem from the array of patterns, prints and colors they come in.  It's such a fun print to wear or use for room decor.  So how about an outfit challenge?  The next time you go shopping, go for a floral print rather than the solid.

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!! I'm so ready for all the bombtastic opportunities this year will bring.  Last year was full of learning moments that will definitely propel me into to my goals this year and beyond.  I hope that this will be one of the best years of your life from this point forward.

I love blending old and new school fashion from time to time, so today's outfit post is doing just that.  Grandma's floral blouse and pleated floral skirt is not so appealing by itself, so I added the fuzzy fur vest and wine oxfords.  And since the skirt was a wee bit too big I cinched it with a skinny belt.  The key to this looking coming together was that I paired two types of the same print and shared the same color scheme.  What do you think about mixing prints?

Here's Pinking At You!

Hi Stylenista's

It's Monday again and yet again, I had a fab weekend.  This weekend I hosted the Thrifting Atlanta bus tour.  First off, I love thrifting!  Every time I step foot into a thrift shop, I get anxious; almost like a kid in a candy shop.  Just the anticipation of what awesomeness awaits me.  As a firm believer of speaking things into existence, I'm floored when something from my shopping wishlist comes into my life.  I can't wait to show you the yellow midi skirt that I got while on the tour.

A few Sunday's ago, I was running late for church and my first look didn't come together as I had planned.  So plan "B" were these floral print shorts (because I didn't have iron them) and the short sleeved collared shirt.  Since I was going to church I thought I better put on a pair of heels.  I think "Madison" from ShoeDazzle was the perfect touch.
