It's Monday again and yet again, I had a fab weekend. This weekend I hosted the Thrifting Atlanta bus tour. First off, I love thrifting! Every time I step foot into a thrift shop, I get anxious; almost like a kid in a candy shop. Just the anticipation of what awesomeness awaits me. As a firm believer of speaking things into existence, I'm floored when something from my shopping wishlist comes into my life. I can't wait to show you the yellow midi skirt that I got while on the tour.
A few Sunday's ago, I was running late for church and my first look didn't come together as I had planned. So plan "B" were these floral print shorts (because I didn't have iron them) and the short sleeved collared shirt. Since I was going to church I thought I better put on a pair of heels. I think "Madison" from ShoeDazzle was the perfect touch.

OMGEE! I have been running from event to event for about the last two weeks. Not to mention, I still work a full time job (but not for long, I'm working on my exit plan.)
So one of the events I attended last week was Parker Simmons of Everyday Runway Henri Bendel Sip & Shop. While being a little indecisive about what I wanted to wear, I wasn't worried. I knew my look would come together. The weekend prior I attending Thrifting Atlanta's monthly bus tour. One of my fave stores to visit is Diva Diva Boutique, and it was there that I found the last piece to my look that hadn't even been created yet. Since I do media for the bus tour, I typically don't get to do as much dedicated shopping as I'd like. But every once in a while I get lucky. I was a little skeptical about getting this skirt because it was a little shorter than I'm use to, but I didn't want to leave it behind. Glad I did! This look, if I say so myself, turned out oh so cute.
Wow! We're already in the February. Time waits for no one. I'm so excited to see what this year will bring. I'm destine for purpose, therefore I'm purpose driven.
Today's post is totally "thrifted," actually each piece came from various boutiques.
Would you believe me if I said, I'm only wearing one thrifted piece? OMG, stop the presses! Yes, it's true. Sometime last year I stumbled upon this website named Sheinside. They have really great pieces with the prices to match. Although I was a little skeptical about ordering from them (because they ship direct from China) I did anyway. It took almost a month before my items arrived, but when they did I was grateful.
So this past weekend I did media for the Thrifting Atlanta Bus Tour. The bus tour is a chauffeured bus ride to shop resale shops in the metro Atlanta area. As a bus rider, you can enjoy exclusive discounts, light refreshments, giveaways and a bag lunch too.
An avid thrifter already knows what the thrifting uniform should consist of... A maxi dress or fitted top with leggings or a skirt to assist with trying on clothes just in case the dressing rooms are filled or if there aren't any dressing rooms. Well I decided to spruce up my thrift uniform just a little. Take a look below and let me know what you think.
