It's Friday and I'm doing my happy dance.  What about you?  Aside from a Thrifted Brunch hosted by Keren of Thrifting Atlanta this Sunday, my weekend should be pret-ty low key.

A few weeks ago I attended The Curvy Fashionista's TCFStyle Expo (recap here) and one of my favoritest (made up word) male bloggers / IG'ers was going to be in town for the expo.  And of course a collab was required.  Before I go any further, let me introduce to some and present to other --- drum rollllllll --- Michael-Anthony Spearman of The Big Fashion Guy.

Although Michael says he's my fan, it's really the other way around.  I actually started following him first.  Oh! Wait!! Before I forget.  Please! Please! Please! Make sure you're following his equally fabulous boo-thang, Lissa Mathieu of I Am Plus.

Okay, getting back on track.  Since Michael was going to be in Atlanta, we thought it would be fun to get in front of the same camera lens for a couple looks.  Needless to say we only managed to get in this one look.  The style expo had us both running all over the place.

And just in case you noticed, my look was taken in two different locations.  The reason why is that we used a photographer that wasn't use to taking street style pics; and truthfully, I didn't like how some of out photos came out.  So I just re-did the look when I shot with my photographer Kaylin.

My look comes in just under $40.  The top and the clutch was thrifted and the Adidas pants were a mother's day gift from my son (really my husband).  The shoes are from Aldo's (old) but I got on sale for about $30.  The glasses are from some mall kiosk.

Michael-Anthony is sporting Levi's (DIY distressed) jeans with a Perry Ellis vest and Henley shirt from Old Navy.  The hat is a Stacy Adams banded fedora.  And it's only fitting that we walk in style together in a pair of Aldo shoes.

TCFStyle Expo || Event Recap

Merry Monday and Happy New Week!  I totally overslept this morning.  I didn't hear my alarm this morning because I forgot to take the headphones out of my phone.  I should probably rely on more than just my cell phone as a means of waking up, but....

 Soooo my weekend was kinda awesome.  Having attended the first two TCFStyle Expo's , this 3rd one was nothing short of amazing.  Walking into the exhibition hall at the Cobb Galleria, I thought back to the first expo Marie Denee, the bombshell creative that runs The Curvy Fashionista hosted back in 2015.  Back then I was impressed but this weekend's expo proved that Marie is a women on a mission to change the curvy girls world.  I see you Marie big timing it at one of Atlanta's premier venues.

The best part of the event for me was seeing again or meeting for the first time some of my fave blogger babes and social media influencers.  I event got a chance to meet some of my insta-fans.  I won't lie, it felt pret-ty good to have people walk you to me asking if I was @thestyleklazit or by my actual name Melodie.

Overall I really enjoyed myself and I can't wait until next year!  In the meantime, check out a few pics from both days.  This photo recap is only a small taste of what really went down.  **Caution, this post is photo heavy.

TCFStyleExpo: Event Recap!

Melodie Stewart, The Style Klazit, The Curvy Fashionista, TCFStyleExpo, Atlanta Plus size bloggers

Hey, what's up, hello...

I've been trying for weeks to get this recap posted, but I had issues with some of my video footage, so all I have for you guys are images... bummer!  I almost didn't post it but I wanted to let you all know what an awesome event this was.

I can't remember how I came to know of Marie Denee, founder of The Curvy Fashionista and event host of TCF StyleExpo but when I did I knew I wanted to feature her on my Feature  Friday series (click here for feature).  Me being a mini curvy fashionista (wink), I jumped at the opportunity to be able to work behind the scenes.  I've worked all types of events, but this one took the cake.  I was very impressed.  From the volunteers, vendors, panel guests and everything else in between.  I can't wait til next years expo.

As a volunteer I wasn't able to cover the event like I wanted but check out my photo recap (Marie's recap here.)
