On days when I kinda want to dress up but then not really, I tend to lean towards the athleisure look. It functional, yet fashionable. Gone are the days where sneakers are meant for the gym only. I decided to dress up my sneakers with this black lace skirt from Plato's Closet, but you can get one from here or here. Denim/chambray tops should be a staple in your closet. Actually you should really have more than one, hint-hint. Besides the thrift store, you can pick one or two up from Old Navy or Forever21. I added this neon yellow handbag (thrifted) just for the heck of it, lol. But really accessories just make things better! Have you given this look a try? What's your opinion on this trend?
Body Shaming is defined as inappropriate negative statements and attitudes towards another person's weight or size. Basically shaming someone for their body type. We all at some point in life have criticized ourself for something. After all we are our own worst critic. Comparing our flaws or imperfections to society's beauty standards or an IG model standards. So what makes me guilty of body shaming and who have I shamed? Me, Myself!!! I'm short, my legs are little, my stomach isn't the flattest and my boobs aren't the perkiest. There I said it... But did you also notice that I also said shamed, as in past tense. If there's one thing life has taught me.... ain't nobody perfect. Which is why I overlooked what I use to see as a problem and nailed this entire look from head to toe.
