Stepping Out Of My Comfort Zone With This Ankara Wrap Shirt

One trend that I really like, but rarely wear is the off the shoulder trend (OTS). You might even shake your head at the craziest reason why... I feel all saggy when I don't have on a strapped bra. I know, crazy right? And before you ask, yes I own a good strapless bra, I just feel more secure with the straps.
Opting to wearing this Ankara wrap shirt off the shoulders was a stretch for me and slightly out of my comfort zone. But before I get into why I decided to step out of my comfort zone, let's take a moment to reveal in how amazing this top is? First of all Ankara (or African print) is gorgeous in and of itself. The array of different colors, patterns and styles is just so beautiful. I can't wait to wear this top again.
Now back to me stepping out of my comfort zone. Wearing this top is a bit out of my style realm. Which is why I was a little over whelmed when I took it out of it package. The vibrant colors and print, along with these voluminous sleeves had me like woah! I thought how the heck am I going to style this. Once I tried it on and played with a few different style options (all while my husband cracked jokes) surprisingly I actually loved how it looked draped off the shoulder.
Initially I wanted to dress up this top with either a cute skirt or pants, but that's expected. So I went with these distressed white jeans and Adidas sneakers. My little neon yellow clutch was the perfect pop of color (not that this look needed a pop of color). Adding the clutch was like the cherry on top. Over all, I'm pleased with how this look came together. Styling this top from IG acct, Style Goes To Church was fun and I can't wait to wear it again.
