Spring Outfit Inspo: Office Edition

office+outfit+inspo_1.jpg

I feel like such a hypocrite trying to tell you how to look amazing in the office, when in real life I've allowed my office wear to fall off.  I mean there was a time back in the day where I'd go to work dressed like there was some sort of "best dressed" contest and the prize was either extra time off or a raise.  Now-a-days it's jeans and T's, although I do make it a point to have on a really cute pair of flats (because I don't even wear heels to work anymore).  But for those of you looking to step up your workwear attire, consider today's look.

Dressing for the office can be a daunting task, especially if you don't like your job, your closet options are depressing or you just have no clue how to marry both style and comfort.  Girl (or guy) I feel you.  How many times have you stood in front of your closet just staring, willing it to produce an outfit worthy of a few "girl you cute" or OMG, I love what you have on" comments?  We all want to look good, it's just the question of HOW?

Well let me share a few tips on how you can change that.  Tip 1. Try organizing your closet (and drawers).  This will allow you to see what you really have.  You might even come up on a piece or two that you forgot you had.  Tip 2.  Adding accessories such as a statement necklace or bracelets/watches is easy and mostly inexpensive.  Tip 3.  My all time fave go-to... color.  Unless your office has a super strict dress code, color is always in order.  Introducing color into your wardrobe is probably one of the quickest ways to jazz up your office style.  A colored blazer, shirt, pants or tie if you're a guy is a simple way to up your office wear.

So no matter if your office dress code is casual or business professional these orange pants (or something similar like the ones linked below) will work for you.  Not wanting to be all business, I paired these Asos wide-legged pants with a white-T.  Opted for the long black vest for today's look, however, my office keeps the temperature at Antarctic degrees, which means I'd wear a black polka dot blazer instead of the vest.  For-going the flats, these black and white striped block heels from ShoeDazzle worked out perfectly (sorry guys, this exact shoe is sold out and I couldn't find anything similar).  To complete this look, I wore this dark floral cross-body that turn out to be a great statement piece for this look.

I hope this look inspires you or at lease encourages you to be excited about getting dressed for work.  Let me know in the comments if you'd like me to style something specific.  Happy Tuesday!
