Flannel Duster + OTK Boots

I'm starting to take more outfit risks.  I use to be hesitate about revealing my body, mainly because of my religious upbringing.  I was taught that a lady should always cover up and that her body is for her husband.  Therefore showing off these mini thick thighs, is a NO-NO!!!!  If my old Pastor could see me now....  But!  I was also a little renegade, so today I'm giving you a little thigh action...
About a year ago, I started being uninspired by my wardrobe.  I really was getting to a point where I couldn't find anything to wear.  I'm sure you've been there before, where you just stand in your closet looking for an outfit to jump out at you.  Whenever, I get stump on what to wear, I start from the bottom - shoes.  Once I decide my shoe mood, I build my look from there.

When I ordered these boots, I had no idea how I was going to style them.  Honestly, the only reason I got them is because my husband liked them.  He says I never dress sexy for him.  And the fact that I'm short and petite; I tend to shy away from anything that I feel would make me look even shorter.  An-t-wayz, the first time I wore this dress (here), I styled it with socks and sandals.  In order to winterize this dress, I added this flannel dress turned duster.  The OTK (over-the-knee) boots were worn to protect my legs from the elements.  Now that the weather is warming up in Hot-lanta, I'm starting to think of other ways to style this dress.

Do you have any suggestions about the next way I should style this dress?  Drop a line below and let's discuss it.  You never know, I may end up taking your style advise.  Holla!!!

Hey guys,

2016 is just a blink away!  Are you planning on making any changes in your wardrobe?  I am...

Right around the end of summer, I noticed a slight change in my style.  Being heavily influenced by vintage fashion, I'm liking the direction my style is moving in.  I'm interested in what 2016 styles will bring.  I bought these sequin pants for an all black birthday party and thought how dope it would be to dress them down. I really wanted to diy the sweatshirt, but ran out of time to do so - maybe next time.

Something Like DOPE!

Hi Stylenista's

This year is coming to an end and what a year it has been.  I attended a vision board party in January and as I look back over the last 11 months I'm overjoyed at seeing some of the items that I put on my vision board come to life this year.  *Proverbs 29:18 - Without a vision, the people perish...  I'm so excited to see what year 2015 has to offer.

The look in this post was inspired by my diy beanie.  After seeing a similar version on a model at a fashion show I knew right away that I was going to give it a try.  I must admit that the finished product was very cute, however, I didn't account for the fact that I would have to wear it over all this hair.  After a few minor adjustments, it turned out rather cute.  Oh! One other thing.  I'm only wearing one thrifted item!!!!!!!!!!!!

Outfit Details
Varsity Jacket - Forever21 - $25.00 (I really wanted this)
T-Shirt - Walmart - $7.50 (mens section)
Tartan Print Skirt - Thrifted - $1.00
Gold Framed Glasses - Flea Market - $5.00
Beanie - DIY
Shoes - ShoeDazzle
