Shoe Dazzle

Purple Mixed Prints

A few weeks ago I did a periscope on how to successfully mix prints.
This look was one of the looks that I used in my demonstration.  I was able to pull this look off by matching the purple in the skirt with the purple print in the top.  Both pieces have the same colors just different prints.  I added the gold belt to cinch my waist (the skirt was a tad bit to big) and to bring out the gold in my top and shoes.

A Pop Of Color

For the last few weeks I've been all mixed up.  Mainly because I'm super excited about my ShoeDazzle New York Meet Up in just a few days.  Now that the weather has gotten cooler, I'm not sure what I'm going to wear.  I've heard that the temp's are already in the 40's.  Instead of the cute sandals I was hoping for, I now have to pull out my boots, sweaters, scarfs and maybe a coat... Either way I've already planed to do some Major shopping.  Can't wait to give you guys a recap.

This weekend went by in a flash....  Friday was date night, me and hubs saw 'Straight Outta Compton'.  I must say it was better than I anticipated.  Saturday-day I co-hosted the Thrifting Atlanta bus tour with Keren Charles of Two Stylish Kays.  Saturday night the hubs and I helped a friend celebrate her birthday.  The best part of my weekend was Sunday and what better way to finish off my weekend than to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday!  Happy Birthday mom!!!!!!!!!!

FaShun Pop-up Shop

How goes it !!!!

Let me first start off by saying that I'm soo excited about my future.  The harder I work on building my brand, the better I feel about what lies ahead.  Whew, I just needed to get that out!!!

About last night... I attended Stylist Shun Melson's FaShun Pop-up Shop at Negril Village Atlanta.  Aside from the the sweltering heat, the event was fun.  And although I don't know Shun personally, she was very approachable and friendly - You know some people when they "arrive" get really funky acting.  Outside of networking and meeting new people, I was also scouting out fab looks.  Posted at the end is a quick video of some of my fave looks from last night.  Speaking of looks, Get Into My Look!!!

Playful in Pink

Hi there Stylenista's

I hope you're having a great week.  Yesterday was my birthday and the only thing I really wanted was to just chill and go see Avengers: age of Ultron.   By the way, it was Ggggrrrreeeeaaaatttttt!!!!

I got this skirt earlier this year while on the Thrifting Atlanta bus tour and I couldn't wait til the weather warmed up to wear it.  The colors in this skirt are bountiful, while the number of styling options are plenty.  I love thrifting multi-functional pieces.  To be honest with you, it really doesn't take a lot for me to pull together a look.  If something catches my attention, I already know that I can work with it.  Just to give you a little history behind this shirt... On a bus tour no doubt, an attendee found the shirt, tried it on and it didn't fit, it went through 3 other ladies before choosing me to don it.  I Love THRIFTING!!!

She's Got Leggs!

Hello Stylenista's!

OMGEE!  I have been running from event to event for about the last two weeks.  Not to mention, I still work a full time job (but not for long, I'm working on my exit plan.)

So one of the events I attended last week was Parker Simmons of Everyday Runway Henri Bendel Sip & Shop.  While being a little indecisive about what I wanted to wear, I wasn't worried.  I knew my look would come together.  The weekend prior I attending Thrifting Atlanta's monthly bus tour.  One of my fave stores to visit is Diva Diva Boutique, and it was there that I found the last piece to my look that hadn't even been created yet.  Since I do media for the bus tour, I typically don't get to do as much dedicated shopping as I'd like.  But every once in a while I get lucky.  I was a little skeptical about getting this skirt because it was a little shorter than I'm use to, but I didn't want to leave it behind.  Glad I did!  This look, if I say so myself, turned out oh so cute.

Camo Style

 Hi there Stylenista's,

So this past weekend I did media for the Thrifting Atlanta Bus Tour.  The bus tour is a chauffeured bus ride to shop resale shops in the metro Atlanta area.  As a bus rider, you can enjoy exclusive discounts, light refreshments, giveaways and a bag lunch too.

An avid thrifter already knows what the thrifting uniform should consist of... A maxi dress or fitted top with leggings or a skirt to assist with trying on clothes just in case the dressing rooms are filled or if there aren't any dressing rooms.  Well I decided to spruce up my thrift uniform just a little. Take a look below and let me know what you think.

Something Like DOPE!

Hi Stylenista's

This year is coming to an end and what a year it has been.  I attended a vision board party in January and as I look back over the last 11 months I'm overjoyed at seeing some of the items that I put on my vision board come to life this year.  *Proverbs 29:18 - Without a vision, the people perish...  I'm so excited to see what year 2015 has to offer.

The look in this post was inspired by my diy beanie.  After seeing a similar version on a model at a fashion show I knew right away that I was going to give it a try.  I must admit that the finished product was very cute, however, I didn't account for the fact that I would have to wear it over all this hair.  After a few minor adjustments, it turned out rather cute.  Oh! One other thing.  I'm only wearing one thrifted item!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just A Little Plaid

Hi Stylenista's

As you can probably tell, I have no problem mixing prints and flaunting colors.  I love expressing myself through my wardrobe.  Sometimes I amaze myself at some of the styles I come up with.

When I saw these shoes, they were a must have.  The style options that went through my head was almost an overload.  Plus they were flats.  I have some many heels, my goal for this fall/winter season was to add more flats to my shoe collection. Even before they arrived, I had already planned the first look.  I will admit that although they're flats, one of the shoes isn't that comfortable.  So I'm not sure how many times I'll wear these this season.  But they are still cute...

Hello Fall!

Hey Stylenista's

It's just a few days since the official start of fall and the weather is gorgeous.  My creative juices are over flowing, just wait and see...

While perusing the pants aisle at the thrift store, of course; I came across the pants.  I really liked the print and the color of the pants and I thought they would look cute on me, so I picked them up.  I made my way to the tops aisle and guess what I saw - the top.  Really! They tried me, but not this time.  I was on my thrifting game.  I'm going to see how many ways I can style both pieces.  Stay Tuned.

{Oh! A lot of times I have my son with me when I snapping away and he wants to get him a few shots in as well, so I let him have a least 1-2 shots.  Check out his cool after school look}.

*Thrifting Tip:  Be on the look out for separated sets.  Some thrift stores will try to sale them as separate pieces in order to get more money.  I got caught like this before and learned my lesson.*
