Black Moto + Silver Oxfords

Atlanta style blogger, style blogger, Atlanta blogger, all black, silver oxfords, black girls killing it, Target style, black girl fashion, black moto jacket, mens inspired, natural girls rock

Hey ya'll!  What's up!!  How's the new year treating you so far?  Good I hope.  I almost didn't want to put up this post.  Here's why...

I envisioned this look one way, but it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to; as a matter of fact a friend of mines said I looked like a cop.  But the more I look at the pics, I saw something totally different.  When it comes to style, it's okay to step out of the box and try a look you wouldn't ordinarily go for.  I double dare you to wear something that you have never thought about wearing....  Happy styling!!!

Double Denim

It's Monday!  Don't forget to be awesome!!

Last Thursday I had an opportunity to volunteer my styling services at an organization for single women who are or have been victims of sex crimes.  The event was hosted by Fab'rik boutique.  Now although I've been through some pretty rough situations in my life, fortunately, I've not had to experience some of the things that these ladies have endured.  It further allowed me to know that life could always be worst.  I'll definitely be volunteering again.

Today's look is thrifted and DIY.

Here's Pinking At You!

Hi Stylenista's

It's Monday again and yet again, I had a fab weekend.  This weekend I hosted the Thrifting Atlanta bus tour.  First off, I love thrifting!  Every time I step foot into a thrift shop, I get anxious; almost like a kid in a candy shop.  Just the anticipation of what awesomeness awaits me.  As a firm believer of speaking things into existence, I'm floored when something from my shopping wishlist comes into my life.  I can't wait to show you the yellow midi skirt that I got while on the tour.

A few Sunday's ago, I was running late for church and my first look didn't come together as I had planned.  So plan "B" were these floral print shorts (because I didn't have iron them) and the short sleeved collared shirt.  Since I was going to church I thought I better put on a pair of heels.  I think "Madison" from ShoeDazzle was the perfect touch.

Breakfast At Tiffany's

Hiya Stylenista's!

Let me first start off by saying my weekend was fab-u-lous!  I started my weekend by enjoying my bi-monthly mani/pedi, which I absolutely look forward to.  And for a few months now, I've been playing with the idea of adding a little color to my hair.  In my younger years, I experimented with quite a few different colors (green, purple, orange, blonde, cooper to name a few.)  So now that I'm a tab older, I just wanted a touch of color.  Enough about that....

Now about my weekend.  I attended the Little Blue Box Brunch hosted by Nikka Shae of the blog Oh! Nikka.  It was such an elegant event and the fact that the attire was black with pearls was so fun.  This event was more than just a group of beautiful  ladies meeting up to eat.  The room was filled with powerful business minded women coming together in the name of sisterhood.  Although I don't wear make up, Julian Reynolds offered some great advice for keeping your face looking it's best.  Chloe Taylor Brown, lifestyle coach, really empowered us to become winners in life.  Girls Inc. talked about their mission to inspire young girls to be strong, smart and bold.  Molly and Cynthia of Livi Rae Lingerie were both hilarious as they talked about the importance of wearing a proper fitting bra.  If you haven't already attended, you should!  Oh! Did I mentioned not only did I win a gift certificate from Keystrokes by Kimberly giveaway as soon as I sat down; I also won LBB brunch best dressed in which the gift was a rectangular crystal Tiffany & co. box.
